TESTIMONIALS

Hi, Coach Dimitar:

The following is a testimony for Sherry's experience in your soccer camp last summer. You can use it for the camp if appropriate. Thanks.

Feng Xie, Great Falls, Va  -   June 2012

My daughter loves soccer. Her dream is to represent USA in the world cup. Since age five, we have gone through many teams, from recreational teams, SFL teams, All Star teams and a travel team. However, none of her coaches taught soccer with a systematic approach, emphasizing the fundamentals. For a while, I had seen very slow progress in her skills. As a dedicated soccer parent, I wanted to help, but didn’t know what to do. I had little knowledge of soccer and relied on coaches to teach my daughter.
The answer to my troubles came in the form of a small flyer for a summer soccer camp. I drove over to the camp location several times and watched the kids practice. I saw a challenging but fun atmosphere. Comparing with other soccer camps that I had visited, this was the only one which teaches kids serious soccer. The coach, Dimitar Dimkov, was very clear about how soccer worked. He had methodic teaching methods. As he explained his beliefs about learning fundamentals first, I realized that this was probably the best fit for my daughter. In the camp, she had learned so many techniques that can actually be used in games. It was an eye-opening experience for both of us. For the first time, we learned that there are over 9 different ways to stop the ball and 7 ways to kick it.
I plan to have my daughter return to Dimitar’s camps this summer. My only regret is not finding this opportunity sooner.

During our 3 years stay in Virginia, my son Florian Dupont and I tried different teams and coaches, until we found Dimitar soccer academy. As of this moment my son soccer skills always go up with Dimitar instruction.
Seasons after seasons, without too much talking and false promises, I see Dimitar providing he’s talented and hard work to girls and boys, In Group or personal training, for professional or fun purpose, no matter the choice, he makes them enjoy soccer.
I know parents during the last ten years who never Miss Dimitar’s soccer camps, even the children are tired they always have a smile after the camps.
I will be brief. Dimitar helps Florian to believe in his dream and build he’s self-confidence. He provides him a high level training regardless of the waiter, heat, rain or snow. the price for that is :After Reston travel team and DC “United” he send Florian to Spain for training with “Espanyol” (Barcelona), from there he jumps to “Servette” (Geneva) , where he continue to play soccer and be a good student in LGB International school. He follows Dimitar’s philosophy, who always says “the feature soccer is at the feet of the smart players”
Thanks Dimitar for these lessons

Dimitar has trained the Reston Cobras for 7 years, during that time we have only had one losing season and have moved up at least 1 division every year. As team manager I have appreciated several things about Dimitar, his reliability, his soccer knowledge, his teaching ability, his sense of humor, and his willingness to work with the players, coaches and parents. But two things stand out above all else, he cares deeply for the boys and he has instilled in them his love of soccer. They have learned that it is a game of thought and planning, not just run and kick.
The team’s summer camp with Dimitar has always been one of the highlights of the year for the boys: What could be better than spending most of the day playing soccer with your buddies, swimming in the Watermine, and the Friday pizza party? But they also learned a lot of soccer, they bonded and learned to look out for each other, and as they grew older they learned to care for the younger campers and tried to help them. My son enjoyed it so much he went to 4 or more camps a year many times, he and several of his teammates have gone on to become Dimitar’s camp counselors.

As the Team Coordinator for the Herndon Pride, I have attended many of the more than one hundred and twenty practices Mr. Dimkov has conducted for the team since he first became our trainer in June 1997.On all occasions, I have found Mr. Dimkov to be an outstanding trainer and teacher, not only because of the depth of his expertise but, more importantly, for his unique ability to inspire each player to be a better player. At each practice, Mr. Dimkov's enthusiasm for the sport and his commitment to the development of his players was clearly evident. As a parent, I have been very impressed by Mr. Dimkov's emphasis on good sportsmanship and team work. I find Mr. Dimkov to be a very honest, patient, and trustworthy teacher. His ability to encourage and motivate has made him a positive influence on each player on the team. On a personal level, I hold him in the highest regard and would not hesitate to state that I find him to be of strong, moral character.

My son has attended Dimitar's soccer camps for two years, and hi is the trainer for the Reston Boys ten and under travel team. Mr. Dimkov has an outstanding rapport with the athletes he coaches. Hi is knowledgeable in his sport, and is also an outstanding communicator and inspiration to the kids. His business seems to be gaining in popularity, and I hope that Dimitar will be continue working in the United States.

I am the Head Coach for Herndon Milan, a U-10 Boys NCSL, travel soccer Team. Dimitar teaches our team European Soccer fundamentals and advanced soccer techniques. Dimitar teaches the skill needed to play modern soccer by using the necessary soccer language and by showing the children how to master the drill by showing them how to physically perform the drill. I recommend Dimitar as a Soccer trainer and serve as a reference for him.

Mr. Dimkov has been working with McLean Magic soccer travel team since August 1999.He has provided a valuable service to the team and the community through his work, bringing both soccer training skills and an international flavor to the soccer community - a rare mix. We have been fortunate in having his skills and insights as he supports a primarily volunteer soccer community with fee-for-service work, enabling the parent volunteer community to work with the children while bringing in the appropriate technical skills and tactical concepts...Our team won the Old Dominion Cup Soccer Tournament's Gold division in Virginia Beach. As one of the team parents noted, you could see the results of Mr. Dimkov's work throughout the tournament, playing against various teams from the mid-Atlantic states. Clearly Dimitar’s services are of benefit to American soccer.

During the summer of 1999 I was fortunate to be in his employee in his youth soccer camps. Throughout a for week period over one hundred children attended these camps. As one of Dimitar's coaches I witnessed his personal development and supervision of an effective and fun program. These children, both boys and girls, ranged in ages six to sixteen and possessed various abilities and need. Each child was individually evaluated at the beginning of camp and once again at the end. Dimitar did these to assure each child's individual needs were addressed and provided the parents with reults and recommendations for further development. The positive feedback we received from both children and parents is testimony that Dimitar's summer soccer camps are exceptional. Is closing throughout my six years affiliation with youth soccer I have never come across with an individual who possesses the expertise and love for the game as Dimitar Dimkov. His services provide an invaluable asset to the youth of Northern Virginia.
